Neohesperidin dihydrochalcone is an artificial sweetener derived from citrus. Industrially, NHDC is produced by extracting neohesperidin from the bitter orange, and then hydrogenating this to make NHDC.

• High sweetness, low calorie. It has high sweetness (1,500-1,800 times as sweet as sucrose) and taste lasts long. It has pretty low level of calories and can be used as low-calorie food additives.
• Good taste: It has mint taste and lasts long.
• Good stability and non-toxicity. It is not mutagenic, nor carcinogenic. It doesn't have obvious toxicity and won't cause dental caries.
• Flavor enhancer: NHDC can be used to enhance sweetness, aroma, and flavor to block bitterness.
• It also has some physiological features, such as antioxidant, reduction of cholesterol, blood fat and blood sugar and protect the liver.

NHDC should be stored in a cool, dry ambient environment. Avoid high Heat. Recommended storage conditions: 15° - 30° C and 35% to 60% relative humidity.
